Deadline to apply January 19: The Workshop by Whipsaw

A 10-week product-to-pitch program for early-stage hardware founders to get world-class industrial design, brand identity, business strategy, and fundraising support.

Application is now open for the Spring 2026 cohort. Founder first by design.

At Whipsaw, we believe the future belongs to founders who can bring exceptional physical products into the world. This fall we completed the beta run of The Workshop, our new 10-week accelerator for early-stage hardware startups. The results exceeded even our expectations. Founders moved from early concepts to de-risked architectures, refined market narratives, developed meaningful prototypes, and gained clarity and confidence around their next steps.

The most consistent feedback we heard was about the power of working side by side with our team. As one founder shared, “It feels like I have a team, not just an accelerator.” That sentiment echoed through the program. When founders gain the horsepower of world-class design and engineering, they make better decisions faster.

What We Learned From the Beta Cohort

Our first cohort revealed a few universal truths about early hardware companies:

• Momentum matters. Structured weekly outputs and real-time working sessions accelerated progress more than any advice or capital alone could.

• Early mission and narrative alignment changes everything. Founders described this step as grounding and transformational.

• GTM and hardware economics remain confusing for even seasoned founders. We are building tools to make this stage more predictable. There are still not enough resources for early-stage hardware founders to better understand the journey ahead. We are working to fix this.

• The blend of design craft, strategic rigor, and leadership coaching is a major differentiator for The Workshop. It develops both the product and the founder. We appreciate Cristina Geogoulakis, Principal Advisor, Growth and Capital Strategy, for being a Founder Favorite throughout.

Introducing a Dedicated Student Seat

For the Spring 2026 cohort, we are adding one spot exclusively for a student founder with a .edu email address. Hardware innovation thrives in academic environments, and we want to support the next generation of product creators by giving them direct access to Whipsaw’s expertise.

Applications Now Open

We are now accepting applications for the Spring 2026 cohort. If you know a promising hardware founder, designer, or engineering-driven entrepreneur who could benefit from this program, we would be grateful for your referral.

Applications and program details are available here!

The future of hardware belongs to founders who combine vision with world-class execution. We are excited to help build that future, one cohort at a time.

Warmly,
The Whipsaw Team
