This event is a part of Design Bay Area: year of Design celebrations.

Saturday, April 18 · 1–5 pm · San Francisco Two studios. Thirty participants. One extraordinary afternoon.

Aidlin Darling Design — founded in SAN FRANCISCO 1998 when Joshua Aidlin and David Darling began crafting furniture together in a San Francisco woodshop. Theirs is an architecture of restraint — client and site specific, collaborative at every stage. “The way something feels, smells and sounds is as important as how it looks.”

Walker Warner — founded in SAN FRANCISCO in 1989, a full-service firm whose custom residential and hospitality work begins not with form but with listening: to the land, the climate, the culture, the client. Led by partners Greg Warner, Kathy Scott, Mike McCabe, and Greg Mottola. “We start by listening — to the landscape and the climate, to the history and the culture, and to our client’s values and vision.”

Hosted by Diane Dorrans Saeks @dianedorranssaeks — bestselling author of 26 books on design including Jean-Louis Deniot Interiors and Parisian by Design, both published by Rizzoli. Design Editor at PAPERCITY and one of the most respected voices in American design journalism.

The afternoon closes with a private reception — sips, light refreshments, and conversation with the architects and their colleagues.

Tickets: $60 · 30 seats only · No waitlist Address provided at time of ticket purchase. Participants travel between studios by car share or Waymo.
